Tanium Wins Second Consecutive Microsoft Partner of the Year Award
Microsoft’s recognition validates Tanium’s role as an innovation leader in real-time endpoint data for powering AI security solutions
Tanium is thrilled to announce that for the second year in a row, the company received a coveted Microsoft Partner of the Year Award — this time in the “Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Innovation – Americas” category.
In addition, Microsoft recognized Tanium as a top Partner of the Year in the Commercial Marketplace in both the Global and Americas categories, validating Tanium as a security technology partner.
These awards are significant achievements for Tanium, with the company going up against all Microsoft partners across different markets, categories, and solutions. Altogether there were over 4,700 entries across more than 100 countries.
Tanium wins 2024 Microsoft ISV Innovation Partner of the Year
The ISV Innovation – Americas Partner of the Year award honors managed ISVs that demonstrate exceptional customer focus and success through their partnership with Microsoft. As the sole recipient of this year’s award, Tanium was honored for its innovation in using Microsoft technologies to deliver simple, powerful solutions that lower costs and reduce risk for joint customers.
The award highlights Tanium’s integration with Microsoft’s OpenAI-powered Copilot for Security as a key enabler for AI in security. Tanium’s unique integration — which combines Tanium’s XEM with Copilot’s security-specific LLMs — adds real-time endpoint data and intelligence, making it faster and easier for security professionals to react to threats, process signals at machine speed, and evaluate and act on risk exposure.
One key aspect of Tanium and Microsoft working together is automation. We can detect anything in our environment and then – seamlessly and without human intervention – shut it down.
Microsoft names Tanium a top finalist for two Partner of the Year awards in the Commercial Marketplace
Microsoft also recognized Tanium as a top three Partner of the Year in the Commercial Marketplace for both the Global and Americas categories.
This recognition validates Tanium and its jointly powered solutions as key to delivering results for customers both globally and in the Americas.
The Commercial Marketplace Partner of the Year Award recognizes a partner organization that has successfully adopted the Microsoft commercial marketplace as core to their go-to-market and joint-selling opportunities with Microsoft.
A closer look at Tanium’s Microsoft integrations
Tanium and Microsoft enable IT operations and security teams to proactively improve the compliance and security posture of all their endpoints using a risk-prioritized approach.
The robust integrations and capabilities simplify security, eliminating the need for disparate point solutions and making it possible to instantly identify, detect, and block threats.
Tanium now integrates with the following Microsoft products:
- Copilot for Security: Tanium provides end-to-end visibility, control, and remediation capabilities to the Copilot OpenAI engine, empowering security teams to accelerate threat investigations with real-time endpoint information and intelligent recommendations.
- Defender for Endpoint: Tanium can deploy MDE quickly and effectively across any environment, making sure it is deployed on every endpoint, running, and up to date.
- Sentinel: Customers can drive enhanced investigations with Tanium’s rich, real-time endpoint data and remediate them directly within the Sentinel console interface.
- Entra ID: Tanium’s integration with Entra ID enables enhanced conditional access and zero trust at scale. By denying access to non-compliant or high-risk devices, Tanium and Microsoft can mitigate risks from these devices and potential attack vectors.
- Intune: Tanium complements Intune to reach all discoverable devices in seconds and builds a comprehensive, real-time asset inventory.
Customers across numerous verticals are experiencing success through Tanium’s Microsoft integrations — Here are a few key examples where our joint customers are getting better results when bringing Tanium together with Microsoft.
- AstraZeneca uses Tanium to enhance Microsoft security tools with real-time data through direct integrations, giving analysts more time to spend on mitigating threats instead of managing multiple tool sets.
- Jones Long LaSalle (JLL) reduced cybersecurity spend by 20% per month across a 90,000-endpoint environment by integrating Tanium and Microsoft security tools.
- Hitachi Astemo leverages Deep Instinct for threat hunting along with Microsoft Defender. Both tools feed data to Tanium.
- The University of Salford combined Tanium, Microsoft Sentinel, and ServiceNow to gain complete visibility and a single source of truth — leading to the elimination of hundreds of thousands of endpoint vulnerabilities.
Upcoming Webinar: Transforming Legacy Approaches for Modern Cyber Resilience
To survive in today’s evolving threat landscape, organizations must be able to identify and remediate threats with speed, scale, and certainty. This requires replacing manual workflows and legacy tools with modern, integrated security services that leverage real-time intelligence and automation.
On July 10, Tanium Director of Technical Solutions Engineering Dominic Cheah will explain how Tanium’s innovative XEM platform can reduce vulnerabilities while enhancing visibility, control, and remediation.
