FAQs

When does Tanium’s summer internship program take place?

Tanium’s US internship program is a ten-week, full-time program which takes place each summer – typically from early June through early August. For international internships, please see specific job descriptions for dates and duration.

Are there specific qualifications to join Tanium’s internship program?

Our internship program is targeted towards juniors pursuing a bachelor’s degree (graduating 1-2 semesters after the start of the internship program). A high GPA, a passion for learning, and having experience in your field will help you stand out!

Please see specific internship job descriptions for detailed role requirements.

Where should recent grads and seniors apply to full-time roles at Tanium?

Tanium’s entry-level full-time positions (e.g., Associate Support, Technical Account Management, Sales Development Representative, Software Engineer I) open throughout the year.

We highly recommend that graduating seniors apply within 1-2 months of their graduation date to increase their chance of receiving an interview.

Does Tanium offer internships or co-ops during the academic year (fall or spring)?

Tanium typically does not offer academic year internships in the US. US-based internships take place during the summer. For international internships, please see specific job descriptions for dates and duration.

Is the Tanium summer internship program in-person, hybrid, or remote?

Tanium embraces a modern way of working. Team members (including interns) are based out of Tanium offices (see job posting for specific locations). Most internships follow a hybrid policy, so people get the benefits of in-person collaboration balanced with the flexibility of working remotely a few days a week.

What should I expect from a Tanium internship?

Each student is paired with a one-on-one mentor on their team and will be supported as they jump right in to doing real-world work in their desired field. Our internship program is founded with the hope that interns will convert to full-time roles upon graduation, depending on individual performance and business need.

When can I apply to a Tanium internship? Is there an application deadline?

Most applications open in early September for internships starting the following summer. There is no official application deadline, however, most internship roles are filled by the end of December. We recommend you submit your application by November. Check here for our most up-to-date postings!
